"I think I got cabin fever..."

Mother Nature hates me. There, I said it.

Note the Blue Band of Doom in this graphic from WFMZ.com:

Where the southern-most part of the blue band crosses from Pennsylvania into New Jersey is where I live - on the PA border just above the edge of the dark blue band. Where we are anticipating another 18 - 24" of snow in the next 18 hours. Seriously. Humor escapes me in this moment. I'm out of humor. All I have left is the milk, eggs, and bread we picked up before the storm began. WE DON'T EVEN EAT EGGS!!!

When I see this graphic...

...it brings to mind a little Jimmy Buffet ditty (from "Songs You Know by Heart" - which I caught Spawn listening to on his school PC today. ::sigh:: Who could blame him? :p):

"Boat drinks.

Boys in the band ordered boat drinks.

Visitors scored on the home rink.

Everything seems to be wrong.

Lately, newspaper mentioned cheap air fare.

I gotta to fly to saint somewhere.

I'm close to bodily harm.

Twenty degrees and the hockey games on.

Nobody cares they are way too far gone.

Screamin boat drinks, something to keep em all warm.

This mornin, I shot six holes in my freezer.

I think I got cabin fever.

Somebody sound the alarm.

I'd like to go where the pace of life's slow.

Could you beam me somewhere Mr. Scott?

Any ol' place here on earth or in space.

You pick the century and I'll pick the spot.

Oh I know, (I know).

I should be leaving this climate.

I got a verse but can't rhyme it.

I gotta go where it's warm.

Boat drinks.

Waitress I need two more boat drinks.

Then Im headin south fore my dream shrinks.

I gotta go where it's warm (I gotta go where it's warm).

I gotta go where it's warm (I gotta go where it's warm).

I gotta go where it's warm!

I gotta go where there aint any snow.

Where there aint any blow.

Cause my fin sinks so low.

I gotta go where it's warm."

Weathering the storm (poorly :p),

Waving 'fcukle up!' from the Green. Seriously, I feel for you...I know those feelings!!! But I can't get over your dramatic weatherpeople! Paralyzing blizzards, immobilizing snowfalls, snowicanes, etc. I guess maybe if we here were having a heatwave we'd see "Buffeterianium weather!!" or something...but you do live in the Northeast, kinda, don't you? (NOT that it's normal, I understand esp. when it sounds like we've traded winters.) Best eggy wishes! We're in the middle of a rain windstorm, I keep thinking our roof antenna is going to impale some homeless person.

It's not so much the fact that it's snowing in winter in the Mid-Atlantic ;) as it's just that we're getting pounded by a 5th Nor'easter this winter. ;) (This is the 3rd or 4th in just 3 weeks!)

It's immobilizig because the snow hasn't had time to melt - so there's nowhere left to push it or put it. Our township has been kicking around the idea of cartig it down south. :/

Wish we could help you out! There is *plenty* of room here...it's sort of creepy. Like, earth is changing her plan (I don't mind snow, until April.) Keep safe!
